Bought this to replace a builder installed small lantern style fixture at the garage man-door. Soooo much nicer looking. This door is at the side of the house so it is hardly seen from the street but I just got tired of the builder installed fixture and wanted to upgrade. The fixture I took down still had a working 15 year old incandescent bulb so if this LED fixture gets anything close to its rated life, it will last as almost as long as the house.Simple to install. Standard bracket screwed to the existing box, connect three wires with wire nuts, and attach the fixture body with a standard hollow threaded post. (everything supplied except, of course, the existing wiring box)Fixture looks nice with the dark metal and frosted panes. The LED array inside (fixture is open on the bottom but seems like it would be rain/snow resistant everywhere else) is enclosed in a flat clear protective plastic housing.As I said, I installed at the side of the house where it is hardly seen but it looks nice enough it could be used as the side lights for the garage door or as the outside light at the front door.
