NICE CLEAN LOOK
I didn't bother to remove the "plate" from the previous fixture. Very pleased.UPDATE 7/20: the fixture stopped working recently after a heavy rain. I had caulked it after installation, but perhaps there was a gap.

Bright light
I enclosed the area where I had an outside light. I used the same electric feed for this new light but it is inside now. The light puts out plenty of light. I am happy with its performance.
